February 6, 2008
I just found out today that my husband and I
qualified for a new home. We will be moving the end of June 08. We have purchased a beautiful place, with a large yard, in
the same neighborhood of my best friend/sister.
I can't wait!
Update on Aunt Ruth!
February 4, 2008
UPDATE! UPDATE!
Aunt Ruth is home from the hospital. She was
transferred to the hospital in Chico, CA and stayed there for two
nights. The doctors ran additional tests and decided they are going
to try and treat her with medication first before thinking about
heart surgery! The same day she came home, my cousin Elmo from San
Francisco, CA ended in the hospital with a heart attack! As of this
morning I have yet to hear how he is doing.
Aunt Ruth in hospital!
January 29, 2008
I received a phone call last night from my cousin
Debi. She informed me that my Aunt Ruth is in the hospital. They
took her to ER and they admitted her for Congestive Heart Failure.
She is 77 yrs old. I am very concerned about her. She has always
been a great aunt and always with me when I needed her. She has seen
me through some rough times when I was younger.
Now I hope to be able to help her.
Rain, Rain, don't go away!
January 27, 2008
It is raining cats & dogs outside. We just arrived
home from Visalia, California where my sis lives. We drove up there
for the week-end. We try to get up there to see her every few
months. On this trip we hit snow and rain in Tehachapi and I loved
it! I was raised in Northern California so I am use to lots of rain.
At least when I was growing up. Now I live in the high desert of
California and we usually don't get much rain. But now, we are
getting flooded with rain and snow! Keep up the good work nature, we
need the rain! I'm on my way to bed, got to get up early in the
morning and get some things caught up around my house. Good nite,
ALL.
Sitting here in my pajamas!
January 23, 2008
It is 11:45pm and I'm sitting here in my
pajamas writing a short article for my web site. Earlier in the
evening, our power went out and my husband and I sat here in the
dark by candle light. I thought it was so romantic, until our
daughter and grand kids showed up. Our daughter dropped by to make
sure we were ok. She is such a sweetheart! She's our youngest, and
the administrator of a hospital in the town where we live. Her
husband, Rick, is a lifer. By that I mean, he is a career Marine,
who is right now in Iraq. He's been over there since October 2007
and won't be home until end of May 2008. We hear from him
occasionally and extremely happy when we do. He's like our own son!
My husband has already gone to bed and I'm am just now starting to
drag a little so off I go with my little pooch, by the way, her name
is Crickey. And that's another story for another time!
